What the Visitors Thought
This poem was written by year 4 students from St Paulinus primary school visiting as part of one of our Creation Disco Days in September 2008.
Inside the cathedral there is a sparkling light,
Spacious and airy as you enter.
It has a strong, happy feeling.
Historical, mysterious artwork
Reminds us of God,
Beautiful and peaceful.
A burning smell in the air,
Beautiful incense, smoky smell.
Safe, quiet, big and wonderful.
A year 7 student visiting in July 2008 commented that Rochester Cathedral was:
"More fun than London Zoo!"
KS2 teacher comments from our Creation Disco Days:
"Very visual and hands on."
"The staff who led the workshops were wonderful. They were lively and encouraging at all times….they delivered the learning content in a very thoughtful way. The children were engaged in and excited by the workshops throughout. Well done, a fantastic day."
"Perfect for revising science topics."
"Please let us come again!"
Teacher comments on our AspiRE Days:
"The sessions fitted in very well with our topic and allowed for a lot of follow up back in school." - RE Co-ordinator
"Definitely good value for money." - KS2 Teacher
"Very interesting – well presented." - KS2 teacher
And finally a comment on our family brass rubbing workshop:
"It was lovely to hear my daughter say 'Wow!' when she walked through the doors."
